Hyderabad, Oct. 26: Congress MP Renuka Chowdhary has filed a complaint against daughter Poojita’s in-laws, accusing them of harassment for dowry, says our special correspondent. Poojita was married to London-based opthalmologist Satya Sai Prasad a few months ago.
Renuka called on police officials and chief minister Chandrababu Naidu recently after filing the complaint on October 18.
Poojita’s father-in-law, Lajpat Roy, a British national, was arrested at the airport when he arrived in Hyderabad from London. He was released on bail.
The police had so far kept the issue under wraps.

There must be a organized campaign to combat this evil scourge before it kill the entire country. Men should form organizations and support groups and do dharnas in front of the houses of females who file false cases. Go to minister’s houses and demand them to take action. Only a collective action will result in any useful outcome. There are a lot of people who are silently suffering. Turn this suffering on the oppressors and teach them a lesson. United we stand, the stronger we are.

I have sympathies with Renuka for what might have happened with her daughter. However, I believe Renuka is mentally unstable and is therefore misusing the Indian law by trying to punish all men, for what MIGHT have happened with her DAUGHTER.

I would recomment that whoever complains of dowry harrassment , if they claim that they had given dowry during marriage and after several years of marriage if the girl complains that they were demanded dowry , they should be booked for giving dowry.

Renuka Chowdhary should be prosequeted under TADA for supporting & implementing the legal terrisiom. Since the supreme court has already declared it as Legal terrissiom can’t we sue her & blame the policies of the congress govt. Congress & it’s policies has eaten away our conntry. I think its high time we should think of pilotics as a carrer. Why donot we have a profesional qualification as a mandatory for the each of the related post. I think professionals can better manage the country as compared to politicians.

Instead of misusing the laws why doesn’t she try to conveince the girl & her parents about the future consequenses? Is she there to improve the situation or to fulfill the lawyers desires by giving them new cases. Is law ment to protect human beings or only made for people like renuka chaudahy – a female. So what do we do with this mad dog biting every girl & their relatives?
If renuka is a real leader & still has got some shame left out (ofcourse I am sure she is hated by the women comunity also except those head less females who support 498a & destroy their own houses) she must amend this law to gender neutral. with women’s issues, but that’s not Poojita Chowdhury’s only
introduction—she is also the daughter of serving Union Minister for
Women and Child Development, firebrand politician Renuka Chowdhury.
There’s word that Poojita is readying to tie the knot with a US-based
NRI called Chaitanya —it’s apparently an arranged marriage.
The nuptials are scheduled to take place in Hyderabad on November 23
and will be followed by a reception in New Delhi that will be attended
by the who’s who of the political world. But despite the heavy duty
guest list, the the family wants to keep the whole affair low key,

Poojita, 30, has been in the news for her women centric films. A few
years ago when women barbers were banned from working at the Tirupati

The divorce law should allow no fault grounds for both parties.
The alimony must be eliminated as in Islam. Why should men work for women who is already seperated in the name of divorce and claim alimony. It is a slavery!.
The kids should stay whoever can support them. Boys after 7 years should live with father. In any democrazy all immportant is women vote.

I think people like Renuka Chowdhury, Jayalalitha etc have a problem with men in general.If they had chosen wrong men in their life then that is their problem.The speed with which the law pertaining to domestic atrocities was handled is quite reckless and then she went to international media saying she pitied the Indian male.I think it is quite reckless of a central cabinet minister to talk in such a manner to international media.Women like these have damaged the place of women in politics with their reckless, immaure and rowdy behaviour.Contrast this to Purandhareswari,NTR’s daughter.She went on to win the best parliamentarian award and carries it with grace.

Your mom is great according to you and may be not for anyone else. If you really are a feminist then why dont you take up some issues like educating girl child. Its easy to talk but it’s hard to walk the talk. The thing in India is people are deceived by educated hypocrites like Renuka.
